Tirzah grew up in Nebraska but moved to Wisconsin to attend college at the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point. She graduated with a degree in Natural Resource Management with emphasis in Environmental Education. Her teaching career began at the Heron Lake Environmental Learning Center teaching K-12 for a year. She loved the teaching but did not like having different students every day, as then she was never given the chance to know them and know how they learned. That’s when she decided to go back to school to earn a degree in Education.
Tirzah has been teaching at Cumberland Middle School for 15 years and looks forward to many years to come. She has recently earned her Masters degree in Education from the University of Wisconsin, La Crosse. She is married and has 2 beautiful children with who she enjoy spending time with outdoors. Skiing, snowshoeing, sledding, hiking, canoeing, camping, biking are just some of our favorites. Life is Good!
